Woodbridge Town Pastors

ON THE NIGHT!

We start the evening with a briefing from the police, they tell us about the atmosphere in the town, if there is anything we can pray for. We then enter into a time of prayer before the town pastors get out onto the street. The town pastors patrol, meeting the local trains as they come in to town and at some point during the evening they return back to the base for tea and toast!

The prayer team keep a track of the pastors movements on a giant map of Woodbridge and pray into situations as they arise. The prayer team have such an important role, not just in prayer but they are constantly watching over the pastors safety and checking up regularly on their whereabouts. At the end of the night the team de-breifs, looking at what has happened in the evening and lifting up prayer to God to finish the night.

We have a new addition to our team, two bicycles which enable the pastors to reach areas which were unreachable on foot such as the Kyson and Farlingaye Wards. A special thanks to County Councillor Caroline Page for the donation of the bicycles.

The prayer team have a mobile phone in the base and the home prayer team members have this number. Home prayer people phone in during the night asking what they can pray for, there is a real sense of community between the whole team at the Woodbridge Town Pastors!
